Interns and Volunteers
In teaching we will learn; in learning we will teach.
Phil Colins, Tarzan
We are committed to educating future generations to serve the needs of your children and our community.
We work closely with:
co-op programs from our local high schools
colleges offering the Communicative Disorders Assistant, Early Childhood Educator, Child and Youth Worker, Developmental Service Worker and Deaf-Blind Intervenor programs
university departments of Speech-Language Pathology, Education, and Psychology
Prospective interns should contact their programs before contacting us.
Volunteers who are committed to serving others, as well as those requiring volunteer hours for entry into programs or to assist with career planning are welcome to join our team as opportunities permit (typically September to December).
Interns and volunteers are required to adhere to all policies and procedures, including Criminal Background Checks and up-to-date inoculations. Interns and volunteers are supervised at all times. Interns and volunteers are never left in charge of clients and do not count as part of staffing ratios.
